Danone (Marie) Then, as I had a diploma from a 2nd rank business school (Bachelor) , I wanted to enhance my CV by joining a leading company in the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) market. I therefore targeted companies that were benchmarks at the time in terms of image and training: Danone, Nestlé, L'Oréal, Procter & Gamble, Unilever. I was accepted into most of them and I chose to join Danone. For a simple reason, I was moving from supermarkets to RHF (Out-of-Home Catering). It was an opportunity to see a different world, different types of clients, and therefore a different approach and organization. And in addition, a start in management by having a training and support role for the salespeople of my wholesalers/resellers.
My approach has often been to go through my wholesalers' biggest customers to encourage Email Data them to list my products. Sometimes much more effective than approaching them directly. When the reseller knows that the product is already sold, the negotiation is much simpler. I stayed there for a little less than 2 years. I outperformed the market and my region was the best performing of the 5 internal regions. Then, we were at the time when Danone decided to refocus on “health” products by selling off numerous brands: confectionery, frozen foods, beer… I took advantage of the initial plan. National Sales Manager, Outsourced Sales Forces, Circular My CV enhancement goal paid off. I joined a sales force outsourcing company in a manager role, although I had never been one, but the “Danone” brand on the CV did the job.
I responded to an ad on the Apec website on a Wednesday morning, I saw the manager at 2 p.m. and at 5 p.m., I went out with the contract. Upon my arrival, I was asked to create a national sales force of 100 salespeople and 4 sales managers in 2 months. Mission accomplished. Given the company's activity, I created sales forces, trained and managed retail salespeople, CHR (cafes, hotels, restaurants), GSA, GSB (DIY large stores), VSEs, SMEs, etc. for sell glasses (L'Amy, Chevignon, Chanel), chips (Pringles), a soft drink (Sunny Delight), laundry detergent (Dryel), cleaning products (Fébrèze, Swiffer), landline telephones (Cegetel 7), cosmetics (Evian Cosmétiques), apples (Pink Lady), financial services (American Express), subscriptions to a pay television channel (Canal Plus / CanalSat)… Regional Director, BtoB Distribution, Antalis I then moved to a position of Regional Director, in a new company resulting from the merger of several others.
